Project Overview
As part of a lab project during my junior year, my lab partner and myself were tasked with redesigning a simple pitching arm machine such that the new arm, an assembly of a High-Density PE arm, an MDF mounting block, and steel bolts and screws, would launch the same ball, a standard softball, at the same range and at twice the height as did the original pitching arm. This objective was modified on launch day to be twice the height and a range of 100 ft.
